Install DByte 11.10.1 on Windows x64

Install§

Extract the ZIP to a stable directory, open PowerShell there, then run:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\install.ps1

The installer copies dbyte.exe and, when present, dbytec.exe to:

%USERPROFILE%\.dbyte\bin

It adds that directory to the user PATH unless -NoPathUpdate is supplied.

Open a new PowerShell window and verify:

dbyte --version
dbytec --help

Expected runtime version:

DByte 11.10.1

For a no-PATH smoke install:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\install.ps1 `
    -InstallDir .\target\verify-install `
    -NoPathUpdate

No installation is required to inspect the build:

.\dbyte.exe --version
.\dbyte.exe repl --no-rc
.\dbyte.exe shell --no-rc

The release archive is a public alpha · working snapshot. Verify the checksum before use.
