The lexer moved into DByte.
The 13.3 lexer runs as a DByte-written sidecar. The parser and backends are still Rust. Original Windows/Linux archives and hashes follow.
Local annotated tag: v13.3.0. This is historical software evidence; it does not supersede the current 13.5.0 documentation. No physical BIOSTAR qualification is claimed for 13.3.0.
What 13.3 changed
Production source ingestion uses a mandatory DByte-written lexer sidecar with the DBYSRC1/DBYTOK1 wire formats. The adjacent dbyte-frontend.json binds the executable SHA-256, protocols and bootstrap inputs. Missing or mismatched frontend input fails closed.
Scope: only lexical analysis is self-hosted. The parser, AST, type checker, canonical HIR and backends remain Rust; it is not a fully self-hosted compiler.
The decimal64 frontend converts exact decimal literals to IEEE-754 binary64 using round-to-nearest, ties-to-even. In this grammar, leading-dot and trailing-dot floats, decimal exponents and underscores are not admitted; unary minus is a separate token.
Authority: docs/SELF_HOSTED_FRONTEND.md at Git tag v13.3.0. The earlier core language contract is still authoritative for inherited syntax. Later comptime source generation and 13.5 pure functions are not features of this release.
