Function values
DByte and C function pointers retain their call conventions in HIR.
DByte 12.0 · Language
Contract§
Capturing closures cannot erase to plain function pointers.
Mechanics§
Function values carry a checked signature and DByte or C convention. Non-capturing closures can coerce when the full callable shape and convention match.
Validation and failure§
Capturing closures cannot coerce to a plain function pointer, erase their environment or escape in v12. Indirect calls reject incompatible parameter or result types.
Evidence and boundary§
Object relocations prove address-taken functions and native disassembly proves indirect call lowering.
