Contract§
Final freestanding images have no dynamic runtime.
Mechanics§
ELF and ar writers are bounded serializers over already-validated sections, symbols, relocations and members. Canonical ordering and normalized metadata make clean builds byte-identical.
Validation and failure§
Every offset, size, index and addition is range checked. Failure leaves an existing destination untouched.
Evidence and boundary§
Double-build SHA-256 equality, independent objdump parsing and malformed-object matrices prove both determinism and fail-closed behavior.
